Can you import documents from email attachments or web servers into pages?

Yes!!!

I was playing around with it today and I emailed some word doc.s that were done on Microsoft office on my MBP. If you click and hold on the attachment in the email, an option to open the file in Pages will be there. It actually works very smoothly.

I also did the same with a PowerPoint and a excel spreadsheet. They all translated very well to the iPad apps. Obviously some features from Microsoft Office are missing (fonts and small formatting options) but the iPad makes the necessary changes in order to open.

Long story short, the answer is YES! Hope this helps!

Very nice, that was gonna make or break my decision to purchase it. Thanks!

The main thing to keep in mind here is the difficulty in getting the files back off. Yes you can email them to your self, but if you need to keep the documents in sync with your desktop files etc, it needs quite a lot of effort to do so. For example, you cannot save a file in Pages or Numbers back to an idisk or similar
