Importing email addresses to Apple 'Mail'

I have my gmail account configured as a pop mail account in 'Mail'. It imported all my mail on setup but never brought over my address book. Anybody know if this can be done and how?

You will need to import your Gmail address book to the Address Book app on OS X.
