Hey guys,

I havent been able to import animated .gif files into PS CS4. I've been told that all I have to do it select File>Import>Video Frames to Layers. I then am supposed to enter * in the file name box. I have no file name box! Im new at this but help would be great. Thanks.

also, is there a way to create a box that is a certain number of pixels, and move that around in an image?

I think the "*.*" thing is for Windows, not Mac. I believe, in a Mac environment, that you have to change your .gif file into a .mov file to be able to import it into PS as frames.

I changed them to a .mov file, but it still did not work. I went to Edit>Import>Video Frames to Layers, and it did not work. Just the first frame again. I am fairly competent with computers, but I cannot for the life of me figure this out.

I think one of the other adobe apps does that, imports the gif frames to different photoshop layers.
