Importing mail from different computer

I just got a new 12" and would like to import my mail from outlook express into apple mail. The mail program is on a different computer that is running os 9.0. When I try to do the transfer automatically it looks for outlook express only on my computer. I forgot to mention that it is on a firewire drive that I have been swapping back and forth. But that still does not solve the problem. Can I transfer them manually? Where does outlook express keep the mail? Any help would be fantastic. Thanks
