Hi,

I have an iPhone 8 and was trying to recalibrate the battery by draining it to 0% and charging it to 100% after.

However, it’s been almost 24h and it still showing the little charging icon and doesn’t want to die.

mis there any trick to kill the battery?

thx

What are you doing that it's showing a charging icon?

Lithium-ion batteries don't need calibrating...despite the nonsense articles online that say they do.

Running them down to zero can actually cause damage.

They don't necessarily need it as something regular or anything like that, but it can be something that can help once in a rare while if the device isn't reporting the battery information correctly.

Running the battery down all the way isn't a good thing to do regularly, but if it something that happens once in a while it's generally not really going to be something that results in noticeable damage of some sort.
