I purchased my APP shortly after they came out, my first ever AirPods. I've been using bluetooth ear buds for years now, everything from Bragi to Taotronics. One of the things I am blown away by is standby battery life. I'll pull out my APP after not having used them for days and the battery will still be at 100% for ear buds and case. That's impressive. With typical bluetooth ones, there is definite drain even when just sitting in the case. This is likely old news for you long time AirPods users but call me impressed.

What I have found though is that for some reason the CASE is losing power when just sitting around. I wonder if the APP are still connecting to a device and draining, and then the case is backfilling the APP. Compared to the AP and AP2, which didn't do this AT ALL, I hope that a firmware update will fix this or maybe I have a faulty pair.

After 5 days of just sitting on my desk, both case and AirPods were showing 100%
