For a first beta it’s pretty solid. No major issues to speak of and all my apps are working. I think iOS 11 is going to be excellent. I’m using beta 1 as my daily driver on an iPad mini 4 that used throughout the day.

This is good to hear, I am waiting to read more feedback regarding this beta on an iPad. I plan on loading it onto my 10.5 as soon as I get it next week. So far, so good.

Similar experience on 9.7” iPad Pro and iPhone 6+.. for a first dev beta it’s pretty damn polished. No problems yet, and Photos is much better with proper metadata syncing!

Similar experience on my 12.9 Pro but it was horrible on my mini 4 and had to go back to 10. Seems to be working fine on my 7 (but can't delete calendar events on my phone).

It’s lovely on my Air 2 - better than iPhone 6s at this point. Excited about installing on my new 10.5 when it comes.

I would revise my statement if I were you: YouTube’s search bar is strangely absent in the App.

Not a major issue for me. Easy work around is searching through safari.

I agree it's pretty stable on my iPad Air 2. Responsiveness is also good on this device, less so on my iPhone 6S. Battery life is fair for an early beta. I'll continue to use it as my daily driver.

Both devices were OTA upgraded from iOS 10.3.3 beta 2.

Are you able to split screen / multi task ?
If yes please share how....

Twitter, Safari, Mail and PIP video. Note Twitter and Safari and inactive when Mail swiped over.

How did you get split screen in the background AND a swiped over mail app? I tried on my mini 4 but couldn't replicate.
Opened Safari first, then swiped up Mail from the dock and left it floating on top. Then dragged up Twitter from the dock over to the left so it opened multi screen alongside Safari. Finally, played the video from Safari window and popped it out as PIP.

Thanks! That works fine for me now, I can even copy and drag over....

Good to hear. Thinking about doing this on my 10.5" next week. Could it screw up my iCloud photo library though? Wondering if I should leave that disabled.

Seems to be running pretty well on my iPad Pro 9.7. The only issue keep running across is that the settings app will sometimes crash when I'm trying to use it.

Has anyone been able to save files directly into “on my iPad” area in files? Joys of a beta.

If it’s any reassurance, it’s not done any harm to my iCloud photo library.. and the faces etc are syncing with High Sierra without issue - which is so nice!

Only really noticing a couple of tiny cosmetic glitches that happen occasionally but otherwise both betas are solid for me.

After a fashion. I had one app (iThoughts2go)Place a folder there. I can save my own files inside that folder and create new folders within that hierarchy, but not at the basic ‘on my iPad’ level. Incidentally, that file was a docx exported from Ulysses. When tapped it imported immediately into Pages although a long press brought up the options including ‘share’.

ETA: opening apps directly from files must just work with Apple apps for now as I do have Word on my ipad and you’d think that would trump Pages.

Same experiences here, and now I’m loving my air 2 more than my 7 Plus... Before the update my iPad was pretty neglected, but these multitasking changed to the iPad are insane. So stoked!

It’s been pretty great on IPP 9.7. Only thing that is strange is that in Split View you cannot adjust the side panel when moving the app over to the right as much as it feels like you could do w/ iOS 10. It seems that there is above a 3 inch panel when viewing Tweetbot for example and it would be nice to make this only 2 inches for productivity purposes. I hope what I am explaining is clear. You can move the slider over to the left however until it takes up nearly 75% of the screen. I believe under IOS 10 it took up less space. On the 12.9 inch model it is probably of no concern, but on the 9.7 inch model it is cramped a bit. Am I missing something regarding resizing??
