iPhone 8/Plus Improved Photos

Comments apply to 11.2.1 & 11.2.5 PB. Using an 8.

Not sure if 8-specific thing but images that the 7/7+ & early 8 Plus struggled with are much better.

Specifically...

1. Skin tones that were horrible on the 7+ for me and so-so on early iOS 11 with 8 Plus are MUCH better. Maybe it’s luck but images that haven’t been great for me in the past are looking very good now.

2. Focus seems improved. Close up images of my kids that had watercolor faces or blurred hair now are very detailed.

Images on good lighting have been fine. These are taken indoors in decent but not great lighting.

I wonder if the change is attributable to improvements in iOS 11 rather than the hardware, since you are getting better results than an (early) 8 Plus?
