Wish I had taken a screen shot as it just happened 15mins ago, but this is also not the first time this has happened.
I opened a text message (iMsg) with an individual who I sent a text to 2hours prior, to see if they had read it (not even sure if they allow read receipts), or if they had responded and I already unknowingly “read it”..
In the text box field, there was an unsent text typed out, and it was text that I absolutely typed out but remember I never sent out… from 08/10/2024… 4 MONTHS AGO…
I scrolled through the iMsg thread to see when that unsent text was related.
Since originally undoing/ deleting the text from the text box (not “unsending a sent msg”), I have sent that particular person 30 iMsgs.
What really got me thinking “wtf”.. is the time span, making me think/ realize Apple is storing indexed Keystrokes, not just the sent/received msg. KEYSTROKES. And there is something of a glitch that randomly paste those strokes back into the corresponding field.
Like I said before, this is not the first time this has occurred, just first time I decided to look into it/ seek feedback.
I have never had unsent/ deleted text box text cross-populate between txt msg recipients, this is what leads me to believe the keystroke logging is indexed and archived.
Which makes me believe all keystrokes are indexed and archived.
(I’ve always had a feeling this was the case)
Also note, this has happened across multiple iPhone gens & iOS.
Currently on 17.7.
Tried searching online for something/ someone referring to this same situation.
Tell me I can leave the cover on the left overs (tin foil hat..).
Any info is appreciated in advanced.
