My husband has an issue with his phone that is driving me insane.

First issue is his apple ID was created with a now defunct verizon.net email address. Then he dropped his phone in a pool. When we replaced it, it was a big issue getting him setup because of that. i'm not sure if he'd forgotten his apple ID password or what but when they directed us to reset it he didn't even remember his 3 question answers (palm to face). Somehow we walked out with a phone that had all his pictures on it. Now he's dropped that one in a cup of water and we have to go to the store again and I'm dreading it.

I had issues already with this because my son wants me to get apps on my iPad that I paid for on my husbands old phone which means I need to sign in to his app store, but it keeps asking me for a verification code. There is no way to get it because his phone is dead.

I legit don't even want to deal with this...is there some easy solution I'm not thinking of? I tried to add a number to his trusted sources on the cloud but it won't let me login to that without the verification code. 2 factor authorization is the bane of my existence.

You know how some people trade up and get new phones every year? I think it's time you got a new husband. :')

Seriously, you need a cheap backup for him so that when he suffers these little accidents you can just run to VZW and get a replacement sim for things like 2 factor verification.

(Maybe he should switch to Android?)

I know but I procreated with him so I need to keep him around for diaper changing help LOL.

He barely figured out how to use an iPhone so android aint happening.

He's literally a rocket scientist.

His backup is a work phone which is an iphone6s but when I try t o get into his account on the laptop to add a second trusted number it wont let me do anything without verification code! Its maddening.
