Universal In app ad blocker

So I subscribe to a well known UK newspaper and use their app on my iPad and iPhone. However every article has ads in it and it’s irking me. Is there an ad blocker that would remove these? I’m aware of the safari blockers but do they wo in other apps?

I don’t feel I’m wrongly depriving someone of revenue because my subscription isn’t exactly cheap

Thanks I’m giving that a go. I’ve just been using Adlock and apart from the faff of trying to license it it slowed everything down
