There’s been a lot of talk about In-app Browsers recently especially with TikTok and Instagram, etc… One thing I’ve been wondering: How safe are In-App Browsers? Not in terms of injecting JS code from the app itself, but for example, clicking on a link within Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, etc… how safe are the browsers in terms of malware vs built-in Safari?

in app browsers are in no way “safe” in the sense of tracking, data mining, etc. - simply because they can and do inject whatever when linking to something. And any protective measure like additional script blockers are probably not installed… 🤓
