In-app ratings and reviews option doesn’t work

I have this option turned off but I am still prompted by apps to give reviews..

I believe that's an option for a New feedback feature that can be used within apps, and doesn't have much to do with the old/usual requests to rate that can come up in apps.

I just came here looking for the same information. It’s disappointing that developers can still annoy us by asking to rate the app constantly. I’m so sick of certain apps asking all the time. It would be one thing if after you rated the app it would stop, but even if you’ve already rated it it still asks

Some apps, especially older ones, use their own review popups instead of the Apple one. The switch can't block those popups.

I say Apple forces apps to update or remove the old ones. They drive me crazy, certain apps seem to ask every time I use them.

If that is the case what dev (from their perspective) would opt for the Apple solution
