In Cydia, anyway to...

When installing items in Cydia, is there anyway to not have to respring every single time? It gets really annoying if I want to install multiple things; wait for cydia to start and boot up, install package, wait for respring, wait for cydia to start and boot up, install package, wait for respring...etc. You get the point.

I just wish there were two buttons there for every package, "Return to Cydia" and "Restart Springboard."

Or maybe somebody could write a thing for it, who knows.

If you go to install something, and then press Cancel, it'll give you an option to add it to the queue. Then you can stack up items to install and install them all at the same time.

I would think it's safer to just do it individually in case things conflict with each other. The reason it restarts the whole springboard on some things is because it has to for it to function properly. It's usually only with items that affect the look or functionality of the springboard that require it. If you just download a normal app through cydia, it won't require you to restart the springboard.

I know. But when I want to install multiple things that require a respring at once, it is very annoying and time consuming to respring each time instead of all at once.

i would have to agree...you might say install bossprefs and SBsettings and something might go crazy since they are both doing the same thing pretty much.

Anyway, i know its extra time, but take the time to make sure all the apps are playing nice with each other.

I had a problem with LockDockBar when first setting up my iphone. If i installed it and reboot, it gave me a sad mac. I knew right away it was the Lockdockbar since i just installed it.

If you install EVERTHING at once, you not going to be able to tell which app is giving you problems.

I would save myself the time and effort troubleshooting if something goes wrong and just use it to install the apps 1 at a time.
