I got a pair of the Apple In-Ear Headphones for Christmas. They are fantastic when they work, which unfortunately is rarely.
After about two months of use, in which I treated them with lots of care, they broke. The volume in the left ear was half that of the right ear. I didn't have a receipt since they were a gift, but the good folks at the 5th Ave Apple Store were willing to give me a free replacement.
Well now, a month later, I'm having the same problem. The volume is again considerably lower in one ear. I'm very disappointed that this is happening again. I have no doubt that the problem lies in the manufacturing and what the product is made of. I have a 4 1/2 year old pair of Apple headphones that came with my 4th generation iPod. I have abused the headphones over all these years, but they still work perfectly. So since I'm treating these In-Ears with a lot of care, I know it's not me.
So what should I do? Just bring them back to the store with my receipt (they gave me a receipt when I got the 1st replacements) and exchange them again? Will they do it again? This is getting frustrating, I want a pair of $80 headphones to last me longer than 2 months at a time. Thanks for any advice
