Does this happen to anyone else? I'm running with my latest generation ipod shuffle (the really really small one that talks to you) and after a few miles, the volume gets very very very loud? Also, you can't turn the volume down? At all?

This has happened several times getting louder and once getting softer. Every time it can't be adjusted until a couple hours later.

I'm using the Apple In-ear buds. I'm sure it has something to do with my sweat. Can I return these? This pretty much makes the phones - and the shuffle - unusable. I can't run with the ones that came with the shuffle, since they always fall out of my ears.

Anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

try resetting and/or restoring it, I'd think it's the shuffle first, I doubt you can get that much sweat on the headphones..
do you have another iPod to test them with?

I have several ipods, but none of them - except the 2nd gen touch - can have the volume controlled by the earphones. I don't want to take my touch on a long run. Too big an I'd be afraid to drop it on the concrete.

Wow. This exact thing is happening to me. I too think it has something to do with sweat and the headphones. I'm taking mine back to Apple today.

It's a common problem that apple knows about but doesn't seem to be doing anything about.
