Overall, I think your design is elegant, fresh, and the light colors are a nice change. :)

Here are some little things I noticed:

- On the Home page, I'd recommend you make the thumbnail images of the two maps clickable themselves, in addition to the "click for large" text below, since it's a much larger thing to latch onto and click.

- I think, after the homepage, for the next two tabs, the fact that you have two fairly large pictures at the top of the page is a little hard, especially since the pictures for the Villas and the Home (I think it was?) are the same. So since the text, which is different, is at the very bottom of my (1024x768) screen, it almost seems like the page didn't change. What you might do is pair the two pictures one in a row, with side-by-side text? I'm not sure if that'll be better...just an off-the-cuff suggestion.

- On this same vein, it'd be nice if you have three separate looks for the tab buttons -- active (the current tab), inactive, and focused (mouseover). And it'd also be nice if they were differentiated more than the current two. It's a little less visually punchy which tab you are on than I would think would be good for you.

Cheers, though, I think you've done an outstanding, clean, and informative job of communicating the niceties of these villas to the world. :)

I couldn't agree more with mkrishnan. I think you should take his advice. However, here is a pet peeve of mine and maybe it's just how the industry works so I don't know. But, I'd like to see SOME pricing on the site. I don't want to have to wait for a human to get back to me to let me know even a ballpark price for a villa.
I am interested in learning more about a villa that would accomodate 2 people. Sure, the price could be an estimate, but I'd love to know what the general cost is. I would also link somehow to local car rental places since you say that the car rental is basically crucial to exploring the island.

I would love to go there, but I'd like to see more on the pricing on your site.
Get my drift?
Who knows if I had more about pricing on the site I may have been inclined to book something for this summer. Now I have to wait for someone to get back to me, my impluse to buy cools down and I end up going to New York instead. :)

You raise some very good points...
Specifically making the maps clickable and creating three states for the tab buttons, making the last state more pronounced.

I really appreciate your input and I wish you a great week.

Jessica,

I will def. inform my clients about this. Their old site had prices listed online but for some reason they didn't want to list them this time.

Thanks for your incite full comments,

Cheers,

Tarek

The blue buttons are a bit too light and the green highlight on the home button seems out of place.

I also think the site is able to get the message across, but I agree with jessica. If I were to consider it, I would need some kind of price information before I got in touch. I refuse having to talk to some sales person just to find the price. It makes me skeptical and I get a feeling that someone wants to talk to me in person, ready to pull all the tricks in the book to confuse me into believing it is a better deal than it really is.

I also think the car rental thing needs more information.

And there are no good picture of the beaches themselves on the About page even though it says: "Its beaches are considered the best in the Cyclades and among the five best in Greece." That's a bit strange.

LOL MK...I am trying to get a discount myself.....

Cairo, thanks as well man...I apreciate your input.
I like the green though :-D

Cheers

This forum ROCKS

Totally agree, I know that they have a contract with a car rental agency, will have to find out which and link to it.

As for the prices, you could get them by goint to the old site and clicking one of the villa buttons: http://www.kamarivillage-naxos.com

TY Gekko :) :)

I created a different example using some of the suggested comments...

I like the color scheme of the new buttons in the first link a lot, although I think the font seems a little narrow/skinny.... I think something a little wider would look better. Anyway, though, it seems like you're putting great work into this website, and I think they and their customers are going to love it. :)

I agree about the clickable thumbnails. One thing I like to do after making a site is go act like a client and just play dumb. What would be the most intuitive action? Is the information in a logical place? Are the colors pleasing? Design simple and good looking or confusing and busy?

Those things will always help, I do like the fresh look, I'd say the design right below/behind the top 4 buttons is a little busy/unnecessary, but that's just me.

And the clickable thumbnails...

As stated above and I believe you need some more content. Your site looks great but probably because it is new it lacks content. If you want any decent ranking in the SE's you're gonna need some more pages.
