I called my local Apple store and said that buying macs that are only custom configuring ram can be done through the store, not just online. Does this mean I would have to wait, or would I be able to leave with my computer when i go tomorrow? Anyone ever upgrade RAM at the store when buying?

Thanks everyone.

I can't speak for anyone else but when I asked about RAM upgrades at a NYC store at around 6:30 p.m. I was told it wouldn't be ready until 11:30 p.m.

Now granted this particular store sees a ridiculous amount of traffic during normal business hours, which is why I try to go at around 7:00 a.m. now when I need to ask questions or test machines out.

Maybe you should call your store and ask when the best time would be to come in and arrange for the RAM upgrade.

Thanks for the response. Found the number for my local store. They said if I come anytime before about 6pm, they will have it ready to go in about 20 minutes:D Guess im just lucky with my store.
