In the series macbook faults and problems, we present: bump on the trackpad

As sudden as the tiny little crack almost at the corner of my macbook, a tiny little bump has appeared on my trackpad. I don't know how it got there, or even why it chose to posess my macbook, but it's there. It's tiny, almost invisible. But if you feel very carefully you can feel it.

Oh well, it will be fixed together with the crack anyway

The Macbook must be the most problematic laptop on the market right now when it comes to physical durability. Do Apple design engineers ever check out this site? Cracked screens, cracked casing, cracked palmrests, bumps in the touchpad, frame splitting from screen, uneven/wavy seams, screen flickering, cracked magsafes, mushy mouse click (mine has that), etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Seems like Apple is not really addressing these problems.

Do you have any pictures? Also, is your MacBook a rev. A or B?

IMHO, Apple chose a poor plastic for their MacBook line. I'm hoping they addressed this in the rev. B MacBook (the one I have). Time will tell. If not, hopefully Apple will learn because of the cost of warranty replacements. You'd think it would have been cheaper to go with a more durable, albeit probably more expensive plastic, to start.

I find it really strange that so many people are having a lot of problems with Macbooks. We have 2 revision A Macbooks (white and black) and they are is great shape. The worst thing with the white one is the amount of tiny hairline scratches on the lid. Nothing one can do I don't think...
The black one just shows all finger prints...grease, oil, etc...and it has a "worn" touchpad.

I just got a new Macbook last week, and it has a bump in the trackpad too. I was planning on buying a BT mouse anyway, but the bump was so annoying that I ended up buying the mouse much sooner. But, I won't take it in for now since the rest of the machine is working, and it would probably be considered a cosmetic issue.

Wonder if i'll get a new macbook soon, this is the third time it's been repaired if the charger apple replaced counts
