Hey guys. Does anyone know whats gonna happen at the end of everyones two year contracts? Will it have to be renewed to prevent the phone from being locked again? I'm sure they wouldnt be able to do that but you never know.

Maybe you'll be able to insert different sims after the contract? Or just have it as is without the phone.

Just a thought guys. Cheers.

After 2 years

I've been with AT&T since Cingular bought PrimeCo in 1998.

There procedure is to allow you to stay with your old plan month-to-month forever, with no commitment whatsoever. I've done it twice, but always "re-upped" as I just did with the iPhone.

I like AT&T. Always had good service and connectivity.

In two years, you'll have saved up for the 100 gig Iphone, and trying to sell your 2007 Iphone on ebay for $30, but nobody is bidding...

the iphone is my sixth phone since i first got a cell phone in 2000/2001.

in a year ill be ready for a "new" iphone whatever that may mean.

A year!!?

You mean 6 month. I can't imagine Apple leaving the iphone alone for no more than 180 days or so (normal life-cycle for most Apple product).

I hope that we can buy and upgrade without extending our contract.

Regardless, I'll be one of the first to get it. I'm a sucker for anything pretty :D
