inbox emails sorted in folders

I get more than 100 emails everyday in my mail account. I wonder, is there a feature/command so that when each email arrives in my inbox, it is sorted to certain folders i create, so they are not all placed in a very long list in my inbox!

Rules

Use the Rules pane of Mail Preferences.

I'm having an issue with rules panes! I can't get rid of the "Apple Inside" folder which absorbs mail for which I have set a rule for... Very confusing, so help appriciated! Thnx
