Is there any to set the incoming text tone to be like the tone on an iPhone?

I've looked in messages > preferences and don't really like any of the tones that are available.

Your question isn't really clear. First you wanted to know if you can set any tones similar to the iPhone, then you say you don't like the tones that they have given you? (which are similar the iPhone ones).

Which tone from the iPhone exactly?

From what I can see, all the tones from iPhone are listed on the Messages.app too.

If the messages ap is closed on the phone, the text tone is 3 quick chimes ... seems like that's the standard incoming tone.

I can't find it on my home computer

Is there a way on the iPhone to see what the tone is called?

ahh ... thanks .... just figured it out!
