On view options I checked show item info, and I actually like this look a little better. But the info is incorrect, I have a 500 Gb HD partitioned to 430 for OS X and 70 for Win7. And that is exactly what it shows on the desktop, not the correct amount of free space, but the maximum capacity of the drive. I read one post that said to simply drag something into the drive, and it would re-register with the correct amount of space, tried it and needless to say it didn't work. So does anyone know how to make this work? I posted a screen to show you what I mean, but the image is so small I don't know if you will be able to see what I am talking about, so hopefully someone can help me or tell me how to upload a larger pic, without the 1 MB size limit kicking in.

It first shows how much space the disk has, after that it shows how much free space is left. Since that doesn't fit, you have to make the icons a bit larger.

yes, see the ... that is indicating that part of the tag is missing due to space restrictons. You can make the icons bigger and that will help but who wants big old goofy icons?

You can fix this while leaving the icons small by increasing the "Grid Spacing" under the same View Options tab that you were working in to the maximum Grid and that will give you the room you need to see the full tag :)

here it is with the tag below

and here it is with the tag to the side like you have it!

Good luck

I agree, adjusting the grid spacing is a better option. Don't know why I didn't think of that...

Awesome, I had adjusted the size of the icons before, but never messed with the spacing but it looks perfect now, thanks for all the help.
