incorrect drivers on leopard install disc?

hello everyone,

I got a small q;

I've just installed windows vista business edition (DUTCH language) and had no errors doing that. I then inserted the disc that came with my macbook pro to install the drivers, as I understand windows drivers are also on the os x install disc?

Setup.exe was executed however there are several problems

my graphics card isn't recognised as nvidea but as a default vga card

there is no ethernet driver installed
no network driver installed
no isight driver installed

I have a santa rosa mbp.

I only run windows in virtual life.

I have one winbox that wouldn't recognize the videocard after HP swapped it out, auto updates took care of that.

Did you partition and get ready for Windows using the Bootcamp assistant?

yes I did, I wanted to do an auto update > I then noticed my network drivers weren't working neither

Go to apple.com/downloads

on the upper left, look for Apple, and then Windows.

You want to find Bootcamp drivers. Perpahs
Boot Camp Update 2.1 will work, otherwise contact Apple.

Just did this however still dosn't help >

I downloaded these drivers and put them on a usb stick.
Copied them into my windows and executed them

nothing happened

hit the button for 20 times and was prompted if I wanted to overwrite some file name 'BCLoc........', there was no description of the localtion nor did a search return the location of the file.

Any ideas where it could be?

small update;

i unpacked the setup archive on my brother's desktop and copied the files to a usb drive. Then copied them to my macbook pro running vista and tried installing. However I got an error from windows saying that this wasn't a proper setup program. No wizard came up just a message box that prompted me it wasn't the stuff vista expected

For the BootCamp 2.1 drivers, you need to wait a long time for them to lunch. It's certainly not immediate. It takes a long time for the Access prompt to come up, and after that, it takes a long time to launch. Just be patient and chalk it up to Apple doing a shoddy job of making the package.

Once you figure this out, make sure to update the thread. I am getting a new job soon and hope to convince the company to let me use a Mac, so I will probably be in a similar situation as you in a few months...
