INCORRECT SIM - Insert an Unlocked and Valid sim to activate iphone

bought my iphone unlocked to any network, put my o2 pas as you go chip in, and it worked fine, connected it to itunes and updated to 1.1.2 and now its saying "Incorrect sim - insert an unlocked and valid sim to activate iphone"

Please can some one help me and tell me what i should do?
