"Incorrect Wi-Fi Password

I'm new to iPhone having recently come from Android.

I'm at work where there are several wifi networks. The passwords change periodically.

At the moment, whenever I wake my phone, I get six dialogue boxes pop-up one after the other that say "Wifi password incorrect."

How can I turn these off? Or somehow tell the phone I don't care? The pop-up boxes are very annoying and I don't understand why the iPhone thinks this requires my immediate attention every time I open my phone.

Yes, I have used them in the past. But the passwords change periodically.

My wifi is on, but I'm not asking it to connect to any network.

When it pops up (for all six different networks) and I click cancel, it's like it then forgets I told the phone I don't care the password is incorrect and asks me about all six networks next time I wake my phone.

How can I tell it I've got more important things to do than dismiss six pop-ups every five minutes?

If you used them in the past then then device is trying to connect to them when they are in range. Your best bet would be to either go to each one and see if you can doable auto-join if that setting is available, or just to select to forget the network so that the device doesn't try to join on its own (since you aren't using the networks anyway).

I can't believe that Apple STILL doesn't provide an option to manage known networks, after all these years! The only option is to reset network settings, which erase all remembered networks

Then it pops up telling me location is better with wifi on.

You can go to the networks settings when you are in range of those networks and change options that might exist for them or forget them.

A few of things.

1. I just tested this out on my home network. I changed the password on my wireless network to simulate your situation. Because the Wi-Fi password had changed, as expected my iPad dropped off the network. As I locked and then unlocked my iPad it did not ask me for the (new) network password. Going into Settings I could see the iPad continually trying to connect to the network but no error messages were popping up (this would be draining the battery unnecessarily so it wouldn't be great to leave it in this state).

2. You can hit the (i) beside previously joined networks and select 'Forget this network', which is something you could do to resolve your problem.

3. Because you're getting these error messages pop up and I am not it suggests there might be something screwed up with your settings. Reset your network settings to see if it helps. I have had weird network problems in the past and instead of trying to figure out what the problem is I normally just do a reset to save time. It normally works.

I know, but if you connect to a public wifi network and forget to forget it when you leave the place, there is no way to remove it (except coming back to the same place).

I have unlimited mobile data so I rarely connect to wifi networks anymore, but still...

It is not the only option. You can just click on the info icon on the right of the affected wifi and click 'forget this network'.

As I said on my previous, you must be in range to do that. If you connect once to a network and never come back to the same place, you can't remove it

That's not entirely accurate, you can reset your network settings. For most people doing that wouldn't be too much of a burden.

But if you don't want to do that does it matter anyway? It's not as if the offending network sits in a visible list taunting you with its undeleteability.
