Increase Dual Core Performance?

I remember this KB article from Microsoft's website from last year. Checking it out, I wondered if this could potentially affect the Intel Mac products as well?

I downloaded and installed Hotfix 896256 on my 2.0 GHz MacBook and re-ran several benchmarks found in my benchmarking article. My Cinebench and Adobe Photoshop test results were identical to pre-hotfix.

Anyone mess around with this and find it affects performance at all?

That hotfix article seems to suggest that it fixes problems, but it doesn't suggest that there will be a speed increase if there is not a problem.

I really doubt hardware problems like that will replicate on mactels considering it had to with APCI and power mgnt. Bootcamp is a module that allows hardware calls on the EFI. I'd assume someplace in there the issue wouldn't replicate it self in there considering it is an EFI based system.
