How is it possible, that after 3 years of daily use my iPhone 13 battery life is still 90%?

I charge it at night with MagSafe charger and update to newest software version.

Lucky you. I have had my iPhone 13 for 2.5 years, charge it every night using the Apple MagSafe charger and also updated the firmware to the latest version.

I am planning on a battery replacement within the next few months despite it being surprisingly usable. I have an Apple MagSafe battery pack incase I need additional charge.

Your 13 came with a higher battery capacity therefore it will take you longer to reach 80%.

It is that simple.

There is no special type of treatment that helps keep battery capacity higher, just use your device as you wish. :D

As I posted on the other thread, "how do I know whether Apple giving me a new battery..." I don't believe the HEALTH% number is useful, is the CYCLE COUNT number that tells you whether u need a new battery soon, and of course for older phone like the 13, only CoconutBattery will give u that number.

I thought about it too. But this number hasn’t dropped in over a year. It just stays at 90% level.
I know this measurement isn’t that useful. I’m just curious if anyone has similar situation.

Look at the Screen on Time before and after you’ve had your battery service.

It’s is all about battery cycles. You have to be a light user. If you near drain your battery everyday you would have near 1000 cycles and would not be at 90% capacity.

Doesn’t seem that odd to me. My 12 Pro, also charged via MagSafe at night and in the car, and always kept up to date on iOS, was at 84% and running fine until it got smashed a couple of weeks ago. The AppleCare+replacement is of course at 100%.

I have a similar situation, my 15 Pro Max has been at 95% for about 5-6 months now 😂😅

Batteries are analog, chemical components, which have a certain manufacturing spread. Some live longer than others.

FWIW, my almost three year old iPhone 13 mini is at 83%.

I’m certainly not a light user. I use on average about ~80% every day.
