Independent artists support

My problem with AM is the way they treat independent artists. Unless you are with a record label AM treats you like a second class citizen. I do applaud Apple for attempting to pay artists more. Classy and appreciated ! . Spotify does a great job letting independent artists edit their home page, get comments, reviews etc.
I love Apple, true fanboy for a lifetime, but please Apple, give equal opportunity to independent artists too.
