This isn't a new problem for me, but I'm getting tired of it -- and can't find an answer.

Latest InDesign CC (same with earlier versions). Let's say I'm working at 100%. Without my asking for a change, I can trigger a shift to 113.5%, or larger, just by using a tool or different module. It never goes smaller. On occasion when I start up a project that I left at 100%, it will start up at a much larger magnification.

This is annoying -- even more annoying is that I can't find a solution. Surely there's a way to make the display stay where I've put it, under all circumstances. Isn't there?

I trashed my Preferences but that didn't help.

iMac Pro, latest High Sierra (but it did this on my old iMac and old OSs).

Any suggestions?

Only thing I can think of is that you are using a Magic Mouse and that you bump the spine of the mouse with the palm of your hand or finger(s).

It's for that reason I use a wired Mighty Mouse at work.
