Indesign CS on 10.5.2

Any ideas why Arial Black will not show up using Indesign CS on my mac? The font is install in the Indesign folder. Every other font works fine, just not Arial Black.

Any advice would be helpful.

The Font should be in the OS X Fonts folder. What is the difference between Arial Black and Arial with the color set to Black??

Arial black is thicker, its not relating to the colour

"Black" basically means "super bold" but has nothing to do with the color.


xli_ne: find the font in your ID font folder and open it, then click the "Install" button and it will install it into your system.

Tried that and it didn't work. The font shows up in Indesign and I can print and create a pdf with arial black but the error message always comes up and says the font isn't install. Everything with that font also shows up highlighted in pink in the document.

The font also shows up in the drop down list with the rest of the fonts as:

[Arial Black] with those brackets.

Just odd and very annoying.

Ya, no go. In Photoshop CS it works fine, just Indesign CS is having problems.

Arial Black in Adobe Photoshop/inDesign CS

Arial Black shows up as a style under the regular Arial font in CS, not as a separate font as in pervious versions. Old thread I know, but I couldn't find this answer anywhere on the web.
