InDesign Frame Fitting Question

So I'll stay brief. I've place 751 pictures in an InDesign Spread with the frame fitting option set to "Fit Content to Frame" which would scale the images down and fit in the frame, however now I'd like them to "Center Content to Frame" without being scaled....which would mean I need to release the previous fitting...

Anyone know how i can do that?
 
Select all image frames; choose OBJECT> Select > Content; use Direct Selection tool to CTRL-click any selected image; choose Transform > clear transformations
 
What version are you using UT?

I'm on CS3 and I don't have the clear transformation option in the Transform contextual menu....

Must be a CS4 thing then (but do be sure you're using the Direct Select tool not the Select tool; they have different contextual menus).
 
I'm not sure how you will fix it, but "Fit Content to Frame" is largely a silly option since it will usually stretch images using an incorrect perspective (the X-scaling will differ from the y-scaling), unless you are extremely carefull with the frame size to start with.

Maybe he means "Fit Content Proportionally". Or he has his frames the right size ratio for his images already.

Correct. The SIze of the frame is set correctly for what I originally was going for, but now the team wants to go another way. Preplanning made sure the images were of high enough quality to be able to used in another manner and a happy accident (remembering the keyboard shortcut incorrectly, actually) showed me that dropping as Centered gives them exactly what they want....

Sadly you cant go from Fit to Frame to Center to Frame, though you can go the other way...

I would love an idea that works for CS3 that doesn't have me re-drop all those pics......
 
Select an image with Direct Selection Tool (white arrow) and set it's scale to 100%, then Center to Frame.

This works well for one image at a time, but unfortunately not multiples. Thanks though...this is faster than redropping the images.

If anyone has another idea I'm open ears....it'll take me a while to do all these images!

This is the correct answer except in CS3 you access "clear transformations" through the flyout menu in either the Transform Panel, or the Control Panel.
