InDesign & Glyphs

I'm using a an opentype typeface in InDesign, and I really dislike it's numbers. For example, the "1" looks suspiciously like a small-caps "I." Fortunately, the typeface has plenty of alternate glyphs.

Is there a way to replace the default numbers with the alternate glyphs so when I type "1" I get the alternate "1"? Or do I need to stick with find and replace?

If you set up a character or paragraph style you can set the defaults in there.
