Indesign help

So... I use in-design all the time. And now it seems to have stopped shoing me those lines that show you where the bottom of something is.

That doesn't sound right.

Ok. When you say draw a box and it shows you those lines if it's level with another box. Does that sound right? Indesign has stopped showing me those lines.

Any ideas as to how to turn them back on again?

They're called Smart Guides. Check out the View menu, down near the bottom, under Guides & Grids.

brilliant. I've sort of got used to using them and really annoying when they dissapeared.

They've been around in Illustrator for years and they put them into InDesign just recently at CS4. I find them annoying... but that's just personal taste.
