Hi, there

I was wondering if anybody can answer my question.

I am working with master page, i have master page A,B.C..so on and so for. I want my staring page (No. 1) on page 9 (i want it to be page 1 in the master page) like for example, a catalog with introduction, Termrs, etc. which are the first pages , and after page 9 the first section start on page 1

I'd greatly appreciate your help
Thanks
Susette Duran

You need to specify which page to begin numbering on in the Pages palette. (FYI - I'm in CS2 - CS3 or 1 may appear different, YMMV)

However, if you want your first nine pages to also be numbered, but differently, specify the start of a Section at the beginning of the document and use a different numbering convention (i, ii, iii, or something) and then start a new Section on Page 9 and change the number style to 1, 2 ,3 ...

Cheers!

Thank you, another question?

for some reason i cannot start page No. 1 on the rigth page (spread)
do you know how to start a page on the rigth side of the spread?
i want page No. 1 on the rigth side and on the left an advertisment page

thanks you
Susette

I don't remember the steps, but I had exactly that problem and found the solution in the Indesign Help system.
