Individual sms alert for contacts

So I recently JB my phone and I was wondering if it was possible to set unique sms alerts for different contacts such as one would with ringtones.

I'm not asking how to make custom sms alerts because I already know how to do that. I just want certain contacts that message me more often to have unique alerts.

You can do that in quickSMS. I don't think there's another way.

so I tried your suggestion of quicksms. Unfortunately it seems to only let you select between the default message tones =( I hope someone comes up with tweak to get around this without having to install quicksms.
