I'm doing some xmas shopping for my in-laws and am looking to get them the low-end Mac Mini. That part is relatively easy -- what is more difficult is to find a monitor/keyboard/mouse that won't break the bank. Any ideas? Any package deals that you know about? CRT is fine for now...

I read a review about budget 17" LCDS. The cheapest one, the BENQ for $325AU beat all the others, even the $500AU. The model number is FP71G+S and it has some great features, like DVI, auto adjusting, WXGA resolution, etc. That's probably your best bet for value for a monitor. I can't recommend a keyboard and mouse at this time sorry. Maybe type "mac keyboard" or "apple keyboard" into ebay?

I don't own/use it... but if I were to purchase a non-Apple keyboard/mouse; I'd like to preserve the functionality of the 'apple' or 'command' keys so I'd go w/ this keyboard/mouse combo offered by Macally. If you do a quick search online, you can find it for cheaper than the MSRP 'suggested' price.

The logitech Elite series keyboards have all the proper apple buttons (alohng with the windows ones) and are pretty damn good keyboards :) I think i paid $30 for the one i have.

I'm sure you can find the apple pro keyboards fairly cheap used if you wanted too.

You could pick up any of the aplle keyboards/mice used for a relativly cheap price. New ones are only $30, so used could be almost half that.
