Does anyone know whether "Infinite Flight" supports mFi controllers? It doesn't state so in the description, but I watched a Youtube video that showed it being controlled by a Joystick.

Thanks!

I just tried it for you, the MFI controller works with this app, and is fully configurable under the controls menu option in the setting menu.

Axis can be assigned to roll, pitch, yaw, throttle (and can be reversed with a check box)
Buttons can be assigned as well.

It lists available devices in settings as iOS gamepad (8 axes, 10 buttons) and Accelerometer (2 axes, 0 buttons.)

The app also references keyboard controls. Using a bluetooth keyboard I was UNABLE to get any keyboard key presses to register, even in the setup page.

I am not sure if it's just a lazy port issue, or if they intended to support iOS Keyboard controls, but it is currently broken.

OK! Thanks a lot!

I also played around with the mac app to "add" a network keyboard. For some reason, when I changed the views after three presses it crashed the app on my iPad. I don't know if it is something being fixed or not, or just my setup (I did not troubleshoot the issue.) The mac app (on the mac app store) is free however if you want to play with it.

I don't have a Mac.

But going back to the Infinite Flight iOS app, I see that the description says Internet connection REQUIRED. Does that mean that it really can't be played offline at all?

Also, it (and many reviews) says that there are in-app purchases and something about a subscription. But I don't see a listing of what they are or prices. Is a subscription REQUIRED? Can you help me out with these questions?

Thanks again!

It looks like except for the Cessna 172 and Cirrus Vision jet, the rest of the aircraft are in app purchases. The price is listed on the aircraft selection page.

I just tried the app in airplane mode, it looks like it requires an internet connection (at least on startup.). You can play offline mode, but needs to still connect online, probably as an anti-cheat method I assume.

It looks like the subscription you mentioned has something to do with their live multiplayer pilot/Atc mode.

I really haven’t used either this app or Xplane 10 Mobile, and never used the multiplayer modes of either one.
