Infinity Blade III Problems

I'm stuck on a black screen... I've restarted the app and everything and it keeps getting stuck on an all black screen with the fast forward arrows in the corner.

If I delete the app and reinstall will I lose all progress?

Anyone have any suggestions on what to do while we await and update?

It's been crashing on my 5s, but works fine on my iPad 3. Weird.
