Hi!
I have an iMac 27" Late 2012 i7, 8GB RAM, Fusion Drive and NVIDIA 680MX
I am very satisfied but I would be tempted to buy in October the new iMac 2019 27" (Retina 5K Display
3.1GHz 6-Core Processor with Turbo Boost up to 4.3GHz, Radeon Pro 575X with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, but with 256 SSD).
I was wondering, compared to my old iMac, do you also believe that I would have a nice leap forward in performance?
I think from all points of view, even in some ways with the processor even if i5, since of eighth generation against the third of the i7, am I right?
Last things I care about:
- is the Radeon Pro 575X valid enough for those who played at F1 2016 and Dirt 4?
- how does the iMac 2019 behave in terms of heat dissipation?
Do you believe that Apple will bring out some new iMac at the end of 2019 or in 2020, a redesign, or will it be discussed in 2021 with the ARM processor?
In short, I would like to buy and really feel that I have done the right thing in terms of speed, performance, quality of the screen and above all heat dissipation.
