Hi,

I recently ordered an Intel iMac with a Miglia TV tuner and I was completly lost on what my order status was. Now I am only a little lost.....

Just wanted to share with you, that if you, like me, have a mention on the Apple site to Flextronics Logistics, you can get almost live details on your order physical movements and track where it is in the all process.

if you go to Flextronics Logistics traking page:

https://www.iec-logistics.com/apps/tracktrace/trk_tracking.asp

and use the number that Apple gave you, starting with 80, and on the Customer reference put APP.

I could actually see the iMac shipment coming from Cork in Ireland, merging with the TV tuner, put together in the same pallet and scaned into a truck leaving to the TNT warehouse. Still no tracking number from TNT though.

Just thought that if you are as lost as I was this might ease your waiting pain!!

i entered in that stuff and just got a blank page that has a question mark that says tracking results next to it, and then "americas"

It does work for me. Not sure if all shipements are managend by Flextronics Logistics. It shows me the complete cycle since it left the factory in Cork using K&N and until it was handed to TNT.

you said the magic work there ...TNT

no end of problems - if you want to find out for sure phone apple up :)

so wait, how EXACTLY did you put in the info.

put in the country, then 80W******** then APP

This is the screen of my entries on the site. The *** represent the last 3 numbers of my Apple reference number. I am also showing that the site is giving me 6 movements, the first being Apple calling them to ship the iMac and the last one (shown on picture) when is shipped to TNT.

btw... just got it delivered at my office. Must say that since I confirmed my payement, and therefore Apple started working in my order, and today only took a week (5 working days). That is 3 working days less than what Apple told me at the first time. SO, I am pretty happy with it. Now, just need to wait, go home, and see what's inside the package...

Why it doesn't work...

The tracking service doesn't actually work on any Mac browser I've tried. I've done it in Camino, Firefox and Safari, and it only come up with a blank page with a Question mark.

However, try IE5 or higher on the PC and it works perfectly. So, either fire up Virtual PC, or reboot into Windows, or open Parallels, and you'll be able to track your shipment.

Kind of ironic though, that Apple's preferred carrier doesn't support Mac browsers. This must be why they created Boot Camp...!
