Inherited Imac

My mother inherited her brothers iMac after he recently passed away.
She can use it as a guest but can not make any changes without administrative password of which she has no clue.
Is there any way to wipe this machine clean and start fresh

You can wipe the drive, and reinstall the OS, and set up the iMac with her info.
