When the Mac is turned on and password is typed and pressed the login button screen blinks and background colour goes light and comes back to normal. This happens for like two times and comes to the desktop.

This doesn't happen when the screen is locked and re-login.

Used to be a Windows user all these years and using MacBook for the first time.

Feels a bit worried since it is a Refurbished M1 MacBook Pro.(10 Core CPU & 32GB Memory)

Is it Normal?

Sounds like it's either loading the screen's color profile or turning on/off TrueTone.

Do you happen to often turn off the entire machine?

Twice a day maybe. So if i turned off the TrueTone or Auto Brightness I can check if it still happen. If it still happens could be a issue right?

I would reset the computer back to ffactory conditions to see if the situation continues, if it does, definitely call apple and get it handled. If you're still within the return period I would not dilly-dally and initiate a return. These things are expensive and what you describe is not normal.

I don't think it's an hardware issue, as it literally happens at the exact moment when you lock in for the first time and all your accounts display settings, color profiles and accessibility features are activated. I also wouldn't shut down my Mac that often, if it isn't necessary. Usually you only send the Mac to sleep by closing the lid. 14 days uptime are not uncommon. First thing you should do is calm down and worry much less about the issue. This doesn't sound like the first symptom of a more serious hardware defect, maybe there is a setting causing this or maybe it's even normal?

This happens only during the startup. doesn't happen after lock in and re-login.
So I tried setting the auto brightness & True Tone off, restarted and again still the same thing happens. Guess this is not about any setting.

yeah contacted Apple earlier and it took like a one hour to try out few things like creating different user accounts with admin rights, updating to latest MacOs from Monterey to Ventura and finally ran a disk check. didn't catch any issue.
Should return I guess.

Ultimately its your decision, but if it were me, I would. My reasoning is that its a very expensive computer that is billed as a premium product. If I'm not getting a premium experience then I need to return it. Then there's the fact that someone else returned that computer for a reason. 9 times out of 10 you luck out since the refurb computers are great, but its that one time, and it sounds like you got hit with that one time.

The same is happening to me, mine is a new Macbook Pro 14" - M1 Pro.
But, when the fire-vault is turned off, the flashing of the login screen doesn't happen.
