Hello MacRumors community,

A few months back, I was on the hunt for a high-quality, customizable weather widget for my iPhone—but nothing quite met my expectations. As a UI/UX designer, I decided to try developing my own solution called Weather Widget Magic.

Innovation & Dynamic Design
Drawing inspiration from the timeless look of the Samsung Galaxy S3 weather widgets, I set out to design a widget that does more than just switch between day and night. The design features adaptive backgrounds that respond dynamically to every weather condition—including day, night, and sunset—creating an immersive, ever-changing visual experience.

Complete Customization: Choose from multiple themes, toggle the clock, and switch between hourly and daily forecasts.
Accurate Forecasting: Powered by top-tier weather APIs, it delivers precise data on precipitation, wind, and air quality.
Modern Design: A sleek, minimalist interface that seamlessly integrates with your iOS home screen.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions for future updates and I’m actively looking for new ideas to enhance our widget experience.

Looks interesting. What are your weather sources? The problem I have with Widgy is their weather source is not at all accurate for my area.

Thanks, we are currently using Apple's WeatherKit API, but we would like to implement Weatherbit and Windy as well to further improve based on the user's location. However, the monthly costs of those APIs are still too high at the moment.

Minimum iOS required is 17.0, too high .
iOS 17 is supported starting from iPhone XS and iPhone 11. After careful evaluation, we found that setting iOS 17 as the minimum allows us to provide the best experience and performance. We understand that this may not work for everyone, but it helps ensure the app runs smoothly with the latest features and optimizations.

I understand. Do optimize for accessibility as well.
