Hey guys,

So today I was browsing this site (https://9to5mac.com/2023/09/19/ios-17-iphone-app-notification-sound/) in Safari on my 14 PM and I was browsing through a few comments and suddenly I noticed that my iPhone was getting insanely hot on the back. It was so hot that it hurt to touch it. On top of that the battery drained insanely fast. I remember that I had a similar problem a few years ago on my iPhone X. There, when I browsed a certain German movie review site, my phone was getting insanely hot as well and drained about 1% battery every single minute (!!). It probably would have been the same today with 9to5mac but I quickly left the site.

Anyone of you also experiencing such issues?

Thanks in advance!

Install Wipr from the app-store. Blocks ad and trackers and things that just destroy iPhones. First got it with my iPhone 13 Pro cause MacRumors was melting my phone. Been using it ever since. No "over-heating" problem on my IP 15 PM.

Link I think:
iPhone

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I'm even using an ad blocker (1Blocker). But maybe it didn't block every ad + tracker on that site.

Happy to report that that page does nothing to my 14Pro. No heating at all.

Still a valid app/post years later. Thank you, purchased and happy.

Can confirm as soon as I installed this, went back to the troublesome site in question, no more burning iPhone, no more 1% battery drain a minute. Some sites man... ugh.
