Insanely slow 3g lately

Lately when downloading over 3g to the ipad (files ranging from 20mb, to 500mb) I have been getting insanely slow speeds (ex: under 8-Kb/s)

Has anyone else noticed the same issue?

I have tried:
1- switching cell data off and on (o&o)
2- switching cell data off, connecting to wireless, then back to cell data
3- airplane mode o&o
4- ipad power o&o
5- airplane mode o&o, then wireless o&o, then cell data back on

and a few other terrible combos to no avail.

same here in connecticut.. im thinking to let go my "granfathered" data seriously..

I have a new data plan and I was seriously considering just dropping 3g for this whole week.

its impossible to get anything done at those speeds
