Was getting beeps and MP was slow to boot, genius thought it was a bad HDD and told me to pull out all HDDs without OS and boot up again. I did, and it booted up normally, so one of the data HDD is bad. I wanted to shut down insert one HDD, re-boot to test and isolate. Repeat until I got the beeps again. But while MP was running I pushed in one of the HDD (the one holding Time Machine data). Nothing bad seemed to happened, but I wonder if I did any damage? Are the SATA sockets in the bays hot-swappable?

I have absent-mindedly done this before, with no ill results. I wouldn't do it again; you run the risk of destroying your PSU.
