Yeah...I tried it out last night. It's ok, but not that great.

I only played 2 games, so maybe I haven't given it enough of a chance to grow on me.

umm...except it's stock trading not drug dealing...

I am almost positive that Apple would reject an app that emulated dealing hard drugs in an open marketplace. The reason would be as follows:

Your app has been rejected for mimicking the functionality of an already implemented Apple function. While we appreciate your time to develop this app and submit for approval, the app store is really the only crack-like addiction we would like Apple users to experience at this time.

Okay just played with this game for about 10 minutes and I have to say the game is very very lame. I got busted by the SEC for insider trading when i wasn't even trading on the tipster's tips. But the more money i was making, the higer the SEC alert indicator. The game lacks any depth and quite frankly is pointless. You can trade on the tips or just trade randomly, either way, it's a crap shoot as to whether the stocks you buy go up the next day.

I'm not going to review it, because I haven't played it. But I have played stock trading games, and I don't see why this would be different. For a game that involves trading stock to be fun, you would need so much more than the current stock prices. You really need a mini economy simulator. Stripped down of course, but still. It's something I'm hoping to work on eventually... it's in the idea bag at least.

If you tap on the SEC bar, you can have your lawyers reduce the SEC threat.

More Features Coming

Inside Trader is definitely a small, simple game in its current 1.0 state. We plan to adjust SEC threat based on trading activity in the next update. Besides that we have a lot of pretty cool features planned for the future, including stock trend graphs and some of those "mini economy" type features.

Depending on interest and success of the game we might introduce some significantly more complicated elements like shorting stocks and playing head-to-head with others.

Thanks for playing!
