I'm so driven mad by the iPhone not correcting "noe" to "now" and not correcting "fir" to "for" etc. InSpell is the most awesome app ever, for this reason. It underlines misspellings in red, and lets you add your own corrections to its database. It's a really slick app, too. You can hold down on a misspelling, hit "select", and then "correct," at which point it lets you pick a correct word from its dictionary.

I love it. Just wanted to say. The best reason to have a JB'ed iPhone, no question!

Just wanted to say. :)

I liked it until I realised that it was causing the keyboard on my 3GS to lag.

worthless app. yes it does underline the mispelled words, but it doesnt autocorrect once you've added them to the dictionary. you have to click on it, click correct and click the word. easier just to erase the word and write what you really meant because the only words that give me problems are basically 3 letter words. but no lag on my 3G keyboard either

What do you mean? My InSpell definitely autocorrects. Go into Settings, and pick InSpell from the app list and you can add your own words. I can even set it to whenever I type the word "Hello," have it autocorrect to say, "I like camels!" It definitely autocorrects.

Just wanted to say "fir" is a real word, it's a type of tree. I have some of them in my garden. I hate it when spellcheckers change real words!!!!!

I realize fir is a real word. However, how many times have you ever used the word fir in a text/e-mail etc? And how many times do you use the word "for." I also think that yes, since "fir" IS a word, there needs to be a way to fix the dictionary according to our needs.

Oh, and yes I love SBSettings and Backgrounder, too. :)
