Ipad homescreens don’t seem very popular yet, but I hope I can start the ball rolling.
Background - I am a primary school teacher, and the thinking behind my current homescreen is to have quick actions accessible at the tap of a button, or be able to quickly view the info I need (so I don’t have to launch the app).
First is my work homescreen.
Main app is notability (dock).
1) Fantastical to see the day’s events
2) Shortcuts - quick access to music when marking papers, quick access to numerous google documents containing information I can to be able to quickly view
3) Stick Notes app (I think it’s called that?) - I use it to quickly note down whatever I want to track for the day
4) Drive / Dropbox / pdf expert - contains shortcuts to documents I want to quickly view, like timetables, teaching guides etc.
5) Scanner pro for scanning of documents
Next is my entertainment homescreen.
1) Top is the extra-large widgets (current a stack of music, TV and game centre).
2) Below is the lookup widget (showing the word of the day) and photos in a stack.
3) Next to it is the Apollo reddit client widget, letting me quickly jump into the reddit thread of choice.
4) Podcasts and reader / Wikipedia widgets for quick scanning of headlines.
5) Currently trying out the Siri Shortcuts widgets, which do a respectable job of surfacing the apps I want to use.
App Library for quick multitasking. Bunch of misc apps on the third page, but have otherwise hidden everything else.
Hope this gives you some inspiration.
